   Board Visionary Leadership Award

Welcome a new era of accountability for schools!
Step up and be recognized as a board for your vision, leadership and success in raising student achievement. Be one of the very first school governance teams to earn MASB's highest honor for school leadership--the Board Visionary Leadership Award.

All MASB member boards of education--both ISD and local district--are eligible. The Board Visionary Leadership Award is a voluntary award program established by MASB's Board of Directors to recognize school leadership teams for their effective governance that leads to improved student achievement in Michigan schools. The awards will be presented at MASB's 2010 Annual Fall Conference, Nov. 4-7 in Grand Rapids. MASB will honor all boards that qualify, not just one.

If you can document your team's success in raising student achievement while maintaining the highest standards of ethics, boardsmanship and board/superintendent relations, you could qualify to win a Board Visionary Leadership Award. (Only whole boards may apply.) Your leadership team has until June 30, 2010 to qualify.

Get the recognition your governance team deserves, because achievers are built by leaders! Click here to download an application. For more information about the Board Visionary Leadership Award, contact Jennifer Rogers at 517.327.5908 or e-mail Jennifer.
