Understanding the Impact of Childhood Trauma Through NEAR: Neuroscience, Epigenetics, ACEs and Resilience

What if the story of a child’s future health, behavior and success could be traced back to the invisible scars of their earliest experiences—and the resilience they learn to rise above them? This session will include an introduction to the landmark Adverse Childhood Experiences study and the impact it has had on understanding how critical early childhood experiences are to life-long wellness. Attendees will learn how experiences impact childhood neurological development, learn about generational trauma through the lens of epigenetics and close with information on building resilience to mitigate negative outcomes.
